A double glazed and secure porch is a handy place to leave outdoor gear and leads into the ground floor of the cottage which is open plan. Surrounding the stairway is a cosy living area to the front and kitchen/dining area to the rear. Digital Freeview TV and radio will keep you amused if other attractions fail and an open fireplace awaits should the mood take you in the winter months.
The kitchen/diner is equipped with an electric cooker, washing machine, large fridge/freezer and microwave. Patio doors oddly enough open onto the patio. Outdoor table and chairs provided. Beyond is the garden which is mostly lawn with a few shrubs.
Upstairs, the large main bedroom with double bed is to the front and offers views over open countryside to Widemouth Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. The view from the smaller, second bedroom with a full size bunk bed is no less rewarding, looking towards Bude town and - on the far horizon - Cleve Camp (the place with the huge satellite dishes!).
Heating in chillier times of the year is by night storage heaters downstairs, with an additional heater in the bathroom. Two portable electric heaters are also provided.

The village centre, a short quarter mile walk, offers a church and a pub with restaurant. Nothing much happens here, so it’s the perfect place to relax …but for those who miss the city life there is a rush hour of sorts when the tractors make their way home from the fields.
The sandy beaches of Bude and Widemouth Bay, which are famous with surfers, are an easy drive by car or about a half hour walk.
